Center Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Center for Hope. Below are some of the roles available to potential volunteers. To speak to someone in the department about training schedules and what's required, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page.

Patient/Family Care Volunteers

Work directly with patients and their families, offering support, companionship and encouragement. Patient/family care volunteers usually spend 1-3 hours per week with their hospice families and remain in contact as long as those families are in the program. Volunteers are especially needed in the field.

Bereavement/Spiritual Volunteers

Volunteers attend to the spiritual needs of patients and their families within our hospice program and often assist survivors who are participating in the bereavement program to cope with the death of a loved one.

Bilingual Volunteers

Bilingual volunteers are needed to assist the Center For Hope Hospice to communicate with individuals that otherwise may be excluded from the services due to the lack of understanding.

Pet Therapy

You and you licensed therapy dog are a welcome addition to our volunteer family!

Music Therapy

Many of our residents enjoy comforting visits from the music community. Whether in one of our facilities or in the field, your visits would be welcome.

Recreation

Our residents enjoy a wide range of recreational activities. If you're someone who likes organizing games, movies, gardening, arts & crafts, bingo, afternoon tea, and more, we'd love to hear from you.

Office Volunteers

From time to time, we can use a little additional help in our administration office (data input, mailings, etc.).

Other

Do you have a special skill that you think can be of use (photography, writing, etc)? Do you have an idea for our residents that you'd like to present? Let us know!
